The Poon Hill trek is probably one of the easiest routes in the Annapurna Sanctuary which explains its growing popularity. It’s a great route to walk for inexperienced hikers and for those who just want to get a taste of hiking in Nepal. Ghorepani poonhill trekking can be joined by any travel enthusiast looking for trekking in Nepal regardless thier age and fitness level. This trek is really easier and it can be done in 3 or 4 days, there are many guesthouse and restaurants on the way and the trek route also well marked.
At the climax of this trek, you will climb poon hill at dawn to enjoy one of the most spectacular mountainscapes on earth. As the sun touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri 8,167m and Annapurna 8,091m along with the Maze of other peaks slowly begin to appear, like magic, before our eyes. This can be enjoyed by every lover of nature. The trek starts from Pokhara and ends at Same place Pokhara. Trekking hours is about 5-6 hours per day.

Day 1 : Pokhara to Hile
Our early drive will take us to Nayapul, the starting point of our trek. After a short hike, we will cross a suspension bridge and follow the bank of the Modi River to Birethanti. From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail traverses a bamboo forest and passes several water streams and waterfalls. After some steady ascending, we will reach the village of Hile.
Day 2 : Trekking from Hile to Ghorepani
After breakfast set off to walk 6 to 7 hours to reach Ghorepani. There are many stone steps to climb on the way until you reach Ulleri when the trail becomes easier. On the way pass through several local settlements, including Tikhedhunga , Ulleri and Banthanti which are inhabited by Magar communities. On the way pass through oak and rhododendron forests. Overnight in Ghorepani is one of the many very comfortable teahouses!
Day 3 : Trekking from Ghorepani to Poonhill
Early morning start with a hike to Poon Hill to discover the amazing landscape of the region at sunrise. Return to Ghorepani for breakfast before trekking to Tadapani. After breakfast we follow a long ridge through rhododendron forests to Deurali. We then walk through impressive river gorges with the chance to see Langur monkeys in the trees. Our destination is Tadapani.
Day 4 : Trekking to Ghandruk then drive back to Pokhara
After having had our last breakfast in the mountain with a rewarding view of Annapurna South and Fishtail then we walk down to Nayapul (ending point of our trek) today's trail is mainly downhill: the first part of today is being the largest Gurung village of Annapurna region and it's exceptional. After breakfast, we follow the simple and pleasant trek down to Nayapul. from Nayapul we will taxi or van and get back to Pokhara, from Nayapul we take a scenic short drive through the hills to Lake city Pokhara. In the afternoon you will have a spree time shopping and hang around in the beautiful city Pokhara, overnight at Hotel.
